AETERNUS Explain PARTY SAN OPEN Festival Non-Appearance

July 31, 2002

Norway's AETERNUS issued an official statement explaining the cancellation of their appearance at the Party San Open festival, which is scheduled to take place in Bad Berka, Germany on August 8-10.

"Well, AETERNUS has been cancelled from the Party-San Festival," frontman Ares wrote. "I am sorry, but it's a damn fact. The reason is basically misunderstandings and impatience from one of the booking guys over there. We were ready and I needed 24 hours of time to get some shit confirmed, but he cancelled anyways. So there we have it. Again, on behalf of AETERNUS, I am sorry about this. I know a lot of people were waiting for this to go down and you were all ready for some True Metal among all that crap out there! Well, that's life. We are preparing our new songs for studio these days. October is the month for recordings and so forth so await more news about this later on…"

As previously reported, AETERNUS have set A Darker Monument as the title of their forthcoming full-length CD, which is scheduled for an early 2003 release through Nocturnal Art Productions. Pytten (i.e. ENSLAVED, MORK GRYNING) will man the knobs during the recording sessions, which are due to take place at Greighallen Studios.
